If you are unsure or require an appointment for one of the above please telephone reception on 01295 225533 and they will book the appointment for you with the necessary time allocation.

Named GPs for all patients

All patients have now been allocated a named GP. Your named GP will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to you. This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you normally do.

Choose Well Campaign

An education campaign, known as ‘Choose Well’ was launched earlier this month to help people understand where to go for urgent health advice. A Choose Well App is also available which signposts people to local health services with information about when the services are open and how to find the service closest to you.

Access & Parking

The centre is compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act and has wheelchair access throughout. There is no parking at Banbury Health Centre, however there is public parking at Windsor Street and Spiceball Park Road car parks

Who Runs the Centre?

Banbury Health Centre is run by Principal Medical Limited, an organisation set up by GPs to provide high quality care services to the population of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. It is a limited company, registration number 4679678, and is run on a not-for-profit basis within the NHS family of GP service providers.

Online records

Patient Online -

Patient online services include booking appointments online and ordering repeat prescriptions.  Many patients already use the appointment service and repeat prescription service.  We changed our appointment system on the 1st June 2017.  You will be asked to re-register for this service.   Application forms are available from reception.  Once you have completed the application, you will need to bring it back with TWO forms of ID, one being PHOTO ID.  Please allow 10 working days for your request to be processed and then you will be able to pick up your Log-on details from Reception.  It is your responsibility to keep this secure.

 Annual Reviews

We have started a new recall system which will call patients in by their date of birth; this is why you may receive an invitation even though you may have attended for a review recently.

Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Recently re-inspected on 10/10/2017 and overall CQC rating is GOOD.
